The strategy board game 'Onitama' gets an Asmodee Digital release

Asmodee has been consistently sucking up a lot of properties in the board gaming world, and that has a few people worried since a single company owns so many great games. It most definitely has caused issues for smaller gaming shops that have trouble ordering their wares. But in the Android world, I have found little to be worried about as all of their digital translations have been fantastic. Not only are all of their games fairly monetized, but they also have a high level of polish that is difficult to match. Onitama is their latest game to be released on the Play Store, and it definitely holds to Asmodee's standards.

Partial iris scanner support in progress for future Android version

Even though face unlock has been a part of Android since Ice Cream Sandwich, several Android manufacturers have been working on improved versions over the past year, mostly in response to the iPhone X. The ill-fated Note7 had an iris scanning feature, the OnePlus 5T includes face unlock, and the Galaxy S9 has a hybrid of the two features. Starting with the next Android release, it might be easier for OEMs to add iris scanning to their devices.

Twitter officially launches Bookmarks, a place to save tweets for later viewing

As a fairly regular Twitter user, I often find myself scrolling through my timeline during brief moments of inactivity (sometimes out of compulsive habit). Oftentimes, something will catch my eye, but I do not have time to follow through on it. If it's a link to an article, adding the webpage to Pocket is a quick enough process, but I'd like to go back to look at specific tweets sometimes, too.

G Suite gets smarter with Quick Access in Docs, quicker scheduling in Calendar, and more

Today is a big day for G Suite customers. Not only did Hangouts Chat finally launch, but Google is adding some new features to other core programs in its office productivity suite. This is all, of course, to help teams respond to their business needs faster by giving them better, easier ways to manage projects.

The first piece is Hangouts Chat, Google's internal team chat Slack competitor. We already posted about it earlier, so I won't rehash what's been said, but G Suite users will be able to move seamlessly between Chat and Meet.

LG G7 (Neo) caught on video at MWC sporting Snapdragon 845 and 19.5:9 OLED display with notch

LG's been very hard to follow regarding news about the future of the Gx series and what its 2018 flagship will be. We first heard that LG wouldn't be calling its next flagship "G7," then that LG has scrapped the in-development G7 for a completely new phone, and most recently that we'll see LG's flagship in June. That's all good and well, but this latest article and video shot by Israeli publication Ynet at MWC 2018 depicts a phone called the G7 (Neo).

Chrono Trigger has been updated with new features to bring it up to date with the new PC release

Chrono Trigger has had quite the checkered past on Android. It originally released on the Play Store back in 2012. Later that year Android version 4.3 was released which broke the game. Square Enix left it broken until it was finally updated with a fix sometime in 2014. It has had a few updates since then, but none of them were of substance. The good news is that it appears Square Enix is finally showing some love to this classic JRPG since it was just updated with some new useful features in order to bring it in line with their newly released PC port.

Hangouts Chat, Google's messaging service for teams, is finally available [APK Download]

Almost a full year ago, Google decided to split Hangouts into two entities: Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat. The former became available pretty quickly, but the latter took its sweet time to arrive. Hangouts Chat is a messaging service for teams, much like Slack or Microsoft Teams, and it's free for current G Suite users.

Google actually had an Early Adopter Program for G Suite users who were eager to try Hangouts Chat out, but only now has the service gone live for everyone.
