[Update: APK] Google Sheets update will add support for rotated text, accounting formatting, mouse input on Android, and more

  • It looks like the Android Sheets update has been shoved down Google's various pipes, as it's now up and running over on APK Mirror. Expect to see it

Rotated text 1Google's Docs and associated programs aren't really replacements for full desktop office suites - at least not yet. But little by little, the company keeps adding more and more features to their web and mobile tools. Sheets, the Google equivalent of Microsoft Excel and similar spreadsheet programs, is getting some crucial updates on the web and Android very soon.

Press shot of the Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks

It has leaked in various forms about a zillion times, and now the Galaxy S8 has leaked as a apparently official press render. This leak comes courtesy of the one and only Evan "evleaks" Blass. It looks pretty much like you'd expect from all the previous leaks.

The Galaxy S8 will reportedly come in two versions; a smaller GS8 with a 5.8-inch and a Plus variant with a 6.2-inch screen. It's not clear which one this is because they'll both have the same curved design and rounded screen corners.

AppGratis shuts down

The world of startups is an incredibly harsh one, with most companies ending up either getting bought or closing down — assuming they even manage to gain any traction in the first place. AppGratis is unfortunately an example of a startup that's recently fallen into the latter category, having just announced its shutdown a few days ago.

AppGratis started its life in 2008 as a daily newsletter listing app discounts on the iOS App Store, shifting to a standalone app model two years later in 2010.

Android Auto page updated with 2017 Subaru Impreza listing... two months after the car's launch

gallery_01_08Hey Android Auto team, you folks aren't asleep at the wheel over there, are you? Because the site with the comprehensive list of Android Auto-supported cars was just updated today to include the newest model of the Subaru Impreza. Which would be cool, except that the 2017 Impreza was announced with Android Auto support months ago, and new models rolled out to US car dealers way back in December. I hope that didn't cost Subaru any sales.
