Nest was the first smart thermostat company to hit the streets, and it's still the best in the biz. Dropbox will let you edit your files in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides soon

Dropbox is allowing some of its enterprise customers to edit text, spreadsheet and presentation files in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides straight from its cloud storage platforms. The new functionality, first announced last year, is being tested in an open beta program.

The integration is being framed as another way to edit and share documents for Dropbox Business teams. It complements the ability for users to edit such files with the Microsoft Office app suite.

Google drops price of a single Wifi to $99 at all retailers

If you've been thinking about expanding your Google Wifi network but didn't want to cough up the extra $129 for one, you're in luck. Google appears to have permanently dropped the price of a single unit to $99, which is $30 less than before. The 3-pack also appears to have been re-priced to $259.

Google Wifi first debuted around two and a half years ago, so it's definitely getting up there in age for a tech product.

AT&T announces more 5G markets, still won't sell you a 5G device

AT&T was, by some measures, the first carrier to roll out 5G wireless services in late 2018. However, it still only has a single 5G device, a $500 Netgear hotspot you probably won't be allowed to buy. The carrier is rolling its 5G ghost town in seven more cities today, bringing its total to 19.

The newly added markets are Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose.

The Snapdragon 730G is Qualcomm's first "gaming" chip, packs an overclocked GPU

Qualcomm announced a trio - sort of! - of new chips at its AI Day event in San Francisco this morning, and one of them is being aimed directly at the mobile gaming audience. The Snapdragon 730G, as it's called (the 'G' is for Gaming), will offer some nebulous 'Elite Gaming Features' and an overclocked version of the Adreno 618 GPU. There's also a standard 730 chip, and aside from the boosted GPU and those gaming features, it's exactly the same as the 730G.

Reminder: Grab your Chromebook freebies, including INKredible Pro and Noteshelf

If you've bought any Chromebook in recent times, you've probably redeemed your 100GB Drive storage perk, but Google offers more freebies from time to time, and it's a shame not to pick them up.

Head over to google.com/chromebook/offers and you should see the offers available in your region. The best ones appear to be limited to the US, as always. Currently, US users can get three Android apps for free, all geared toward note-taking and drawing: Noteshelf ($9.99), INKredible Pro ($7.99), and Concepts' Essentials IAP ($9.99).
