T-Mobile will begin distributing Viacom-owned content through "new mobile video services" this year, according to a joint press release from the two companies. Those services will provide both live streams of Viacom cable networks, as well as on-demand content.
Viacom owns dozens of television networks, including the Nickelodeon and MTV families of channels. The media conglomerate is described as a "cornerstone launch partner" in T-Mobile's long-term mobile TV plans.
