Every LG and Nokia phone going forward will have a Google Assistant button

Last year, LG teamed up with Google to bring a Bixby-style Assistant hardware button to some of its phones. Turns out that collaboration was just the start. Today, Google is announcing that this partnership is extending to "the full portfolio" of new devices from LG and Nokia, as well as select handsets by Xiaomi, Vivo, and TCL (read: Alcatel, Palm, and BlackBerry).

Phones explicitly mentioned as getting the button include both the LG G8 ThinQ and K40, Nokia's upcoming 3.2 and 4.2, Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 5G and Mi 9, as well as Vivo's V15 Pro.
